Kirkby Lonsdale
Kirkby Lonsdale is a delightful market town set in the lush Lune Valley and enjoys an enviable position on the fringes of both the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks. The town was granted a charter in the 13th century for fairs and still holds a Thursday market and annual Victoria Fair in October. A national winner in Britain in Bloom, the town has an excellent range of speciality shops, attractive 17th and 18th century inns, and a fine Norman church.

Yorkshire Dales
The Head at Middleton is an ideal place to stay to enjoy the facilities of the nearby Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Dales offer beautiful scenery and picturesque villages, rolling hills patterned by dry stone walls, tumbling streams and rivers.
